Judge strikes down Telangana’s notification

Hyderabad: Justice Ramesh Ranganathan of Hyderabad High Court struck down a notification issued by the state government notifying Dubbaka in Medak district as nagar panchayat.

The judge was allowing a petition by Bangariah, former sarpanch of Lachapet, contending that the government had not issued notice to the six panchayats before de-notifying them.
