K Rosaiah to be Governor of Karnataka too
TN Governor has been given additional charge till regular arrangements are made
Chennai: Tamil Nadu Governor K. Rosaiah has been given additional charge of Karnataka till regular arrangements for the office are made, a communiqué from the Rashtrapati Bhavan said on Friday. Mr Rosaiah will arrive in Bengaluru late Saturday and will be sworn in the next day, according to Raj Bhavan sources here.
Amid all the controversies regarding the new BJP Government easing out some UPA-appointed Governors, it is now clear that the Centre has taken into account the vast experience of Mr Rosaiah, who had held several ministerial positions and was Chief Minister in undivided Andhra Pradesh, in retaining him at the Raj Bhavan here. Also, the affable leader seems to have hit it off with Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa, who enjoys good rapport with Prime Minister Modi.
