Hyderabad: Leader of the Opposition in the Telangana Legislative Council and former PCC chief D. Srinivas on Friday said the Congress Legislature Party will formally lodge a complaint with the Chairman of the Legislative Council soon, and seek disqualification of five MLCs, who defected to the TRS, under the Anti-Defection Law.

Speaking to reporters here on Friday, Mr Srinivas said both the TRS leadership and the five Congress MLCs, who joined the TRS, lack morality in politics.

“The same TRS leader, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, criticised the Congress when a few of his MLAs deserted his party and joined the Congress earlier. How can he not ask the MLCs to quit their posts and party before admitting them?” Mr Srinivas asked.
