Eliza Dushku confirms split with Rick Fox

Former Buffy the Vampire Slayer actor Eliza Dushku has confirmed that she has split from boyfriend Rick Fox.

The couple were together for five years and had even publicly discussed getting married in the past, reported E! online.

Dushku, 33, explained that her reluctance to live in Los Angeles played a role in her and Fox’s break-up. “Rick’s an LA guy and I’m a Boston girl,” Dushku said. She went on to joke that “nobody in LA has a basement”, and noted that she recently bought a new home in Boston.

“I’d rather be a little physically cold here than emotionally cold in LA. I missed my town and I missed my family,” Dushku said. Fox was previously married to actress-singer Vanessa Williams from 1999 to 2004.
