Producers of Mahesh Babu and Ram Charan starrers have reworked release dates for a smooth Dasara opening
Hyderabad: To make the most of the holiday season and capitalise on box office collections this Dasara, the makers of the Mahesh Babu starrer Aagadu had initially confirmed the movie’s release as September 26. It will precede the release of the Ram Charan starrer Govindudu Andari Vaadele, which is said to release on October 1. Now, it seems like 14 Reels, the makers of Aagadu have advanced the release date.
The decision is said to have been taken after exhibitors and distributors showed their concern for the potential losses they could face, if both the movies released around the same time. The distributors have appealed to 14 Reels to ensure a minimum gap of two weeks between the movies, so that both Aagadu and Govindudu Andari Vaadele can make the most of the holiday season.
Hence, the makers of Aagadu have decided to advance their release by one week and have announced the new release date as September 19. The audio launch is being planned for the third week of August. Currently, the cast and the crew are shooting in Bellary and will be returning to Hyderabad on July 2 to shoot a song with Shruti Haasan.
