Social media helps put right records

Hyderabad: With an aim to reach out to masses directly, a tech-savvy Telangana government has created a social media cell. State IT minister, K.T. Rama Rao said that the government now has Facebook and Twitter accounts and will also go on the digital platform.

Speaking at a panel discussion on ‘Social Media in Today’s World’, the minister blamed the electronic media for being misleading. He said, “Electronic media  puts what is said in 60 minutes in just 30 seconds and repeats the same, as if the politician has not said anything else while social media helps us to reach the masses unedited. Our Chief Minister and my father is more misunderstood by the electronic media.”
