Chandrababu Naidu submits wishlist to Modi
AP Chief Minister made a presentation on the various problems faced by the state
Hyderabad: AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu made a presentation on the various problems facing the state when he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Shar guest house at Sriharikota late on Sunday night. Mr Naidu requested Mr Modi to help out the state.
According to sources, the CM gave Mr Modi a PowerPoint presentation and also handed over soft and hard copies of the same. He explained in detail the need to come to the rescue of the state which got an unfair deal during bifurcation, and is facing the burden of implementation of the loan waiver scheme.
Mr Naidu could not meet Mr Modi during his recent visit to Delhi and Sunday’s meeting assumes significance in the backdrop of the finance ministry gearing up with preparation of crucial Union Budget which will be presented in the Lok Sabha on July 10.
A key official pointed out that whatever way Mr Modi intends to help the state, it should be a part of the Budget exercise and there should be flow of clear instructions from the PMO to the finance ministry on all “assurances” given out by the PM.
He said that it would be difficult for the state to overcome the crises unless the Centre comes to its rescue.
