Bihar: 17-year-old falls from construction site roof onto iron rods, survives

The girl underwent almost five hours of surgery to remove the bars

Patna: A 17-year-old girl miraculously survived after she fell from the construction site roof and landed on three iron rods protruding from a cement pillar.

The iron rods pierced her body and she was in that condition for ten hours.

According to the Daily Mail, the teenager was taken to hospital after the iron rods were cut from the cement pillar.

The pieces of steel missed every major organ as it forced its way through her body.

The teenager later under-went an operation for five hours at the Ruban Patliputra Hospital in Patna and the rods were removed from her body. She is recuperating at the hospital.

The girl, a resident of Chappra in north Bihar, was treated by Dr Satyajit Kumar Singh, Dr KN Sinha, Dr Avinash and Dr JC Pandey at the Ruban Patilputra Hospital in Patna.
