Venkat begins his second innings

Hyderabad: After a long gap, Venkat is returning with Aa Aiduguru, which is hitting the screens this Friday. “This is a very important film for me as I am starting my second innings,” says Venkat, adding, “After Saleem I did not get exciting roles, so I decided to take a break and wait for a good one.” About his role in the film, he says, “I am playing an IPS officer and it’s a complete makeover for me. Actually I changed my looks and body for this character as I was known for a lover boy image… We worked with real police and also trained with them. While shooting we had a few injuries too.”
The actor is confident that his second innings will be a good one. “I hope that everyone likes my character in the film. It’s a message-oriented film and it will be a key one for my career. A lot depends on this film,” he says.
