Hyderabad advocate cheats 15 by promising jobs in courts
He claimed he had suffered huge debts following his sisters’ weddings
Hyderabad: A 63-year-old advocate allegedly cheated 15 people in the old city by promising them jobs in city civil courts. The accused, identified as Shaheen Parvez, who has been practicing law in civil courts, collected Rs 25 lakh from 15 people over one year. Following a complaint lodged by a job aspirant, the Charminar police arrested the accused on Tuesday.
“He has been practicing at the city civil courts for many years and had promised jobs of attenders and record assistants to many persons. In order to convince the victims, he even created fake appointment orders,” said Charminar police inspector A. Yadagiri.
On Tuesday, one of the victims, Pasha, complained to the Charminar police. The accused was arrested based on Mr Pasha’s complaint. A case was registered under Sections 406, 430 and 468 of the IPC.
Mr Parvez confessed to the police. He said he cheated people because he had was in debt and needed money.
He claimed he had suffered huge debts following his sisters’ weddings. Moreover, he needed money for his daughter marriage as well.
