Molestation case: Ness Wadia retorts, says Preity Zinta's complaint false

Mumbai: Hours after actress Preity Zinta used social media to 'set the record straight' on the controversy surrounding her molestation charge against former boyfriend Ness Wadia, the industrialist has written to Mumbai Police insisting that the allegations levelled against him were "false."

Wadia has also named nine witnesses who were present at the Wankhede Stadium on May 30, when the alleged incident took place and has asked the police to record their statements.

Reports say that the Mumbai Police will record Mr Wadia's statement in the next 48 hours.

Zinta has accused 44-year-old Wadia of abusing and threatening her during an IPL match played by the duo's team Punjab Kings XI.

Till now, three witnesses have supported Zinta's statement to the police.
