Mammoth manuscript magazine to enter Guinness and Limca record books
Kochi: Students of Ideal English Higher Secondary School, Kadakassery, Thavanur, Malappuram, are on a high. They are all set to enter Limca Book of World Records and Guinness Book of World Records by creating a mammoth manuscript magazine.
The magazine consisting of 11,000 pages showcases the literary and artistic talents of over 4,000 students of Ideal institutions studying from LKG to college level. It has used ten languages and was completed in 10 days with the help of the staff of the institutions.
Perithalmanna sub-collector Amit Meena released the giant magazine titled ‘ Ideal Mega Mag-2014’ weighing more than 500 kg, 71 cm long and 57 cm wide. Another specialty of the magazine is that its pages can be easily flipped. The languages used include English, Arabic, Irish, French and German. The students composed 3,604 poems, wrote 2,941 stories, 1,719 essays and made 2,298 sketches besides a large number of cartoons, travelogues and snippets.
