Katrina Kaif doesn't compromise on quality; pays for own dresses in 'Bang Bang'
With her costumes costing more than a crore, Katrina paid for 2 gowns
Mumbai: The poster of Siddharth Anand’s ‘Bang Bang’ is out and here’s the latest scoop from the sets of the film. According to a report in the Mid-day Anand’s leading lady Katrina Kaif has shelled out big money to pay for two of her costumes that she will be seen sporting in a song sequence for the film.
According to the report, Indian fashion stylist and costume designer, Anaita Shroff Adajania sourced a gown for the actress to wear for the song which will be shot in Prague from July 10 onwards.
However the production house was not too pleased with the choice of costume and therefore asked another designer to design the costumes for the song. Gavin Miguel designed two gowns for Katrina.
The cost of Katrina’s costumes totalled up to more than a crore, and therefore the production house were a little sceptical to pay for Miguel’s gowns.
A source said that the two outfits cost around Rs 2 lakh each. The source also added, “Katrina did not want to compromise on the quality of her clothes but the film has already crossed the budget allotted for her costumes. So she offered to pay for the gowns as a goodwill gesture.”
Designer Gavin confirmed the news and said, “Yes, we have made two gowns for Katrina.” Anaita, however said that it’s not true that a gown sourced by her was replaced. She said, “But yes, we get Gavin to make clothes for us on a regular basis.”
A close associate of the actress denied the story.
