Mumbai: Manish Paul is back on the sets of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, having replaced Drashti Dhami. This time he is teaming up with Ranvir Shorey and Manish is optimistic about the new season.

“It feels great to be back”, Manish says, adding, “Jhalak is like family. I share a great relationship with the channel and I hope to recreate the magic. Ranvir is fun as a co-host and I am looking forward to anchoring the show with him.”

Drashti and Ranvir faced a lot of criticism for their hosting. But Manish says, “They were doing a good job but at the end of the day, it’s the audiences and the channel that have the last say.”

Ask him what makes him so popular when it comes to hosting and Manish says, “You should ask the audience this question. I just know that I become a different person when I am on stage. God starts playing his role then. I literally go into a trance.”

Manish, who is currently busy wrapping up the shoot of his film, says that he has made an exception with Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa and that he isn’t looking at doing any TV show right now.

“Films and anchoring are keeping me busy. I am shuttling back and forth between Jhalak and shooting for my films, events, etc. I don’t think there is time for anything else and I doubt daily soaps are my cup of tea. Tere Bin Laden 2 is slated to release later this year and I plan to start shooting for my third film right after wrapping up Jhalak,” he says.
