Lucknow: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dharamvir blamed the BJP for the tense situation in Moradabad on Saurday and said that the whole fiasco began after BJP called for mahapanchayat.
He also mentioned that BJP MP Sarvesh Singh wanted to ‘polarise the situation ahead of the by-elections to be held in the state’.

BJP MLA Sangeet Som reverted to the whole situation by saying that he was being targeted in the entire incident. He also said that it was the state administration that objected on the issue of loudspeaker in the temple.

Minister of State for External Affairs, General VK Singh response to the statement was that any SSP should not make such statements; he should be doing his work.

Meanwhile, the four BJP leaders who were detained, Amroha MP Kanwar Singh Tanwar, Rampur MP Nepal Singh and Sambhal MP Satyal Saini, along with Sardhana legislator Sangeet Som were released on Friday.
