Hyderabad: YSR Congress party’s central governing council member and former MP Dr M.V. Mysoora Reddy demanded imposition of President’s rule in Seemandhra.

The reason being the ruling Telugu Desam resorting to “undemocratic” and “intimidating” means in the Nellore, Kurnool and Prakasam Zilla Parishad chairmen elections.

Making serious allegations against the TD for resorting to attacks on the YSR Congress ZPTCs in both Prakasam and Nellore polls, Dr Mysoora Reddy on Saturday said it is most unbecoming on the part of the ruling party to stoop down to such levels in order to secure majority in these polls.

“How can non-members enter the zilla parishad hall in Ongole and create law and order problems?” Dr Mysoora Reddy asked.

He blamed Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for encouraging his party men who in turn resorted to these kind of anti-democratic acts and misuse of authority.

“This government cannot continue for a minute with this kind of temperament and anti-democratic attitude,” Dr Reddy said.

He added that he had already spoken to AP director-general of police J.V. Ramudu and complained about the TD leaders misbehaviour and attacks against YSR Congress members.
