Mohit Malhotra turns baddie in Beintehaa
Mohit loves playing a Muslim character, which he hasn't done in the past
Mumbai: Mohit Malhotra who plays the role of Zubair in Beintehaa is enjoying the slightly negative slant that his character has taken.
Luckily for Mohit, his fans have taken to the turn too. “But I do get messages once in a while from fans on social networking sites asking me to go back to being the old Zubu,” he says.
The actor, who has never played a Muslim character in the past, loves the experience. “Since I used to date a Muslim girl long ago, I am aware of the culture and ways. I also watch a lot of Pakistani shows to pick up the nuances of Urdu,” he adds.
When he isn’t shooting, Mohit enjoys bonding with co-star Harshad Arora over their Delhi connection.
He says, “Both of us are from Delhi and we keep talking about the city. He is a chilled-out guy. But I get along best with Suchitra Pillai. ”
