Hyderabad: The Supreme Court dealing with a contempt plea on Monday expressed its dissatisfaction to top Andhra Pradesh cops for non-implementation of orders regarding reviewing of promotions of inspectors of police.

The SC has given two weeks for implementation of its orders, warning the officials of action.

AP director-general of police J.V. Ramudu and home secretary B. Prasada Rao appeared before the apex court on behalf of the AP Police and the government. Senior Telangana police official Umesh Sharaff and additional advocate general J. Ramachandra Rao were also present.

The Supreme Court in 2009 had set aside the orders of the AP High Court, filed by retired DSP, Mr G. Ananta Reddy and others, and clarified that Hyderabad City and Hyderabad Range were separate entities.
