Law & order is a state subject: says KT Rama Rao
'If the Centre tries to infringe on the state’s rights we will take up a legal and political fight'
Hyderabad: The Telangana Rashtra Samiti government has warned of serious repercussions if the Centre infringes on the state’s right over law and order and places Hyderabad under the control of the governor.
Minister for IT and panchayat raj K.T. Rama Rao said that the TRS government would take up a legal and political battle if the Centre placed the police in Hyderabad under the control of the governor.
“Law and order is a State subject. If the Centre tries to infringe on the state’s rights we will take up a legal and political fight. It will create turmoil in the country. Mr Chandrababu Naidu is our guest of Telangana for 10 years till a new capital is built in Seemandhra. He can stay here but should not poke his nose in Telangana affairs (referring to Mr Naidu’s objections to the demolitions in Ayyappa Society in Gurukul Trust lands). We will not keep quiet,” he remarked.
