John Abraham gets a Tollywood story
Rajamouli’s father writes a new script for the Bollywood actor-producer
Hyderabad: Popular director S.S. Rajamouli’s father and renowned writer Vijayendra Prasad has given a script to John Abraham.
It was initially rumoured that John had bought the rights of Prasad’s Samarasimha Reddy to remake it in Hindi. However, when contacted, Prasad said, “No, it is not Samarasimha Reddy; I gave another story to John Abraham.”
Prasad has also written blockbusters like Magadheera, Yamadonga, Vikra-markudu and Chatrapati.
He went on to add that the Bollywood actor/producer had approached him for a good subject for a Hindi film and he had provided a story.
When asked who would direct the film, Prasad says, “I don’t know anything about the other details of the film. He asked me for a good subject and I provided it. It is not a remake of any Telugu film.”
This would be the first time Prasad’s story would be made into a Hindi film directly. Earlier his Telugu film Vikramarkudu had been remade into several languages that including Hindi as Rowdy Rathore.
