The Resogun Heroes: Survival & demolition modes

The second addition is possibly one of the most welcome additions to the game

Both modes add a tonne of replay value to an already addictive game

The Resogun Heroes DLC went live recently and brought with it hours and hours of frantic seizure inducing fun. Two new game modes have been added, the Survival mode and the Demolition mode.

Both modes add a tonne of replay value to an already addictive game. Survival, as the name suggests, has you duking it out on a new planet for as long as possible, with incoming waves of increasing difficulty. There are a couple of additions that make this mode extremely enjoyable, firstly the new day and night cycle that has been incorporated gives the player an appreciable sense of time spent avoiding death and saving humans. And when you do meet your inevitable doom, to get a much deeper sense of accomplishment, you can see you managed to survive the madness for days.

The second addition is possibly one of the most welcome additions to the game and that is local co-op play. You can team up with another friend and try and tackle the mode to make things easier. All power ups and lives are shared, so make sure you partner with someone who knows what they are doing or be prepared for a lot of anger.

The Demolition mode is a single player mode that puts you in the game world with just one ability, a supercharged explosion. The aim is to bounce a super destructive ball around the map and obliterate anything that spawns. Having just one ability at your disposal and trying to take on the game’s AI adds to the challenge and makes things rather difficult for all the rivals out there looking for that elusive high score.
All in all, it is a fantastic DLC for an awesome game and I highly recommend it to be checked out by all.
