Budget 2014: Centre has not done justice to Telangana, says Chandrasekhar Rao
KCR expressed disappointed pointing out that there was nothing fresh in the budget
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao accused the Centre of not doing justice with the newly-formed state in the Union budget and said it has not got any thing new except a Horticulture University.
Expressing his disappointment with the budget, Rao said the horticulture issue was also mentioned in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act.

"There is nothing that the Centre has given afresh. We sought a lot for the development of Telangana from the Centre. But the Centre has not done justice to Telangana in the budget," Rao was quoted as saying in a release from Chief Minister's Office.
The Finance Minister merely stated that the Centre is committed to issues mentioned in the Reorganisation Act, but he has not given clarity on any issue, Rao said.

On the other hand, welcoming the budget, Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy said it is encouraging for infrastructure, agriculture and handicrafts.
The budget sought to put the economy, which derailed during UPA regime, back on track and it made an effort to give a push to all the sectors without burdening the common man, Reddy said in a release.
The Telangana BJP president hailed the Finance Minister statement to honour the promises made to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in the AP Reorganisation Act.
