Amazon offers free trial on Kindle

Mumbai: Amazon is now offering a 15-day trial of three Kindle devices for free, with a money-back guarantee. This offer is available only to Kindle (Black), Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Paperwhite 3G e-readers on amazon.in. The offer does not apply to Kindle Fire Tablets.

Individuals can try their preferred Kindle device for a period of up-to 15 days and return it if they aren't satisfied. The selected device(s) should be returned with all the original packing tags, inbox literature, warranty/guarantee card, freebies and accessories within 15 days.

“We know from our experience around the world, that once the consumers experience the device, they love it! Their apprehensions of eye strain vanish and they quickly realise how it feeds their appetite for reading and how convenient it is to have instant access to any book they want to read or the ability to carry their favourite books with them at all times. We are committed to helping India read more and this is one tiny step towards that,” said Devesh Khandelwal, Senior Product manager, Kindle India 

The company also promises to refund the full amount in the case of a return via cheque of bank transfer within 5 days. To be eligible for the refund, make sure you also return the accessories along with your device.

No additional fees will be charged to avail the trial offer and is valid only till July 23, 2014. This offer is limited to one trial of one qualifying Kindle e-reader per customer and non-transferable.

At present, the new Paperwhite priced at Rs 10,999, the new Paperwhite 3G priced at Rs 13,999 and the original Kindle 6-inch Wi-Fi that is for Rs 5,999.
