Father protests girl stalking, got stabbed

Kanpur: Four persons have been booked for allegedly stabbing a girl’s father and critically injuring him for protesting the stalking of his daughter in Chakari here.

The accused, Aamir, along with his three friends allegedly stabbed a 22-year-old girl’s father on Saturday, who is undergoing treatment in a hospital, SP Prabhakar Chaudhary said. Police said, Aamir and the girl were neighbours and Aamir was stalking her since last few days.

The father had taken up the matter with Aamir’s family a few days ago, apparently, to take revenge. The accused have been booked under section 307, 326.

Police is looking for the accused.
