Telangana DGP demotes 41 DSPs

An order has also been issued promoting 28 inspectors as DSPs

Hyderabad: Implementing the Supreme Court order on promotions, Telangana DGP Anurag Sharma on Saturday demoted 41 DSPs to inspectors. An order has also been issued promoting 28 inspectors as DSPs. The new order was issued after verification of the statewide integrated seniority list of inspectors and the final seniority list of DSPs, Mr Sharma said.

Officials said the DSPs who secured promotions illegally have been demoted while those who were ignored despite having seniority got their due. Most of the demoted DSPs were promoted without any panel being appointed for recommendation, which was mandatory. The demoted officers are ACP Gopalpuram D. Vasanth Rao, Mirchowk ACP S. Gangadhar, Sultan Bazar ACP T.S. Ravi Kumar, Vanastalipuram ACP L. Anand Bhaskar, Panjagutta ACP M. Venkateshwarlu, Mahankali ACP N. Mahender, Special Branch City ACP J. Anyonya and detective department ACP J. Rama Rao. The inspectors who were promoted as DSPs (Hyderabad range) are A.V. Ranga Reddy, C. Gandhi Narayana, D. Anand Kumar, P. Srinivas Reddy, P. Satyanarayana, C. Madhu Mohan, V. Ravi Kumar, T. Manohar Reddy, S.M.K. Ismail, K. Ravinder Reddy, P. Sudhakar, M. Srinivasulu, N. Narsimha Reddy, G. Srinivas Kumar, A. Ramulu, B. Anjaiah, P. Krishna Murthy, B. Bhaskar, M. Thirupathanna, N. Bhujanga Rao, K. Shiva Kumar, D. Pratap, S. Sudhakar, E. Sathyanna, T. Govardhan, M. Narender Reddy, Shaik Lal Ahmed and B.V. Murali Manohar.
