Telangana gets 200 additional MBBS seats from current academic year
The total number of medical seats in Telangana is 2950 after grant by MCI

Hyderabad: After Andhra Pradesh, it is Telangana’s turn to receive a shot in the arm with the Medical Council of India granting the state 200 MBBS seats, taking the total number of seats to 2,950.
The additional 200 seats will be available from this academic year.
Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Dr Rajaiah said of the 200 seats, 100 will be allotted to the Nizamabad RIMS while 50 each will be added to Gandhi Medical College and Kakatiya Medical College.
The total number of MBBS seats will rise to 2,950 in Telangana of which 850 will be in government medical colleges, 1,700 in private medical colleges and 400 in minority colleges.
