Guwahati: The Army has been kept on stand-by as tension mounted in Assam’s Baksa district where bodies of three more persons kidnapped by suspected NDFB(S) militants were retrieved from Beki River on Sunday.

The deputy commissioner of Baksa district said, “The bodies of three more missing traders were recovered from Beki river. Police have sent the bodies for postmortem. One body was recovered on Saturday.”

Meanwhile, anti-talk faction of the NDFB(S) has denied their involvement into the kidnapping and killing. The Assam DGP  had on Saturday held the rebel group responsible for the incident.

The publicity secretary of NDFB(S) N.E. Esara has accused it all on the ongoing crisis within the state Congress. “The leaders of the ruling party have been using the Muslims and the Bodos for safety and security of their political purpose,” the outfit said in a press statement on Sunday.

To quell the attempt of giving communalising  the incident the police has banned the entry of any politician including dissident minister and MLAs in BTC.
