New Delhi: The Congress is finding it difficult to revive itself in about half-a-dozen states due to lack of a credible face which can identify with aspirations of the people at a time when talk of the organisational reshuffle has begun in party circles.

Generally, the Congress nominates its leaders to the different posts in the organisation or fields them in elections on the basis of their caste, region and religion but this has not been helping the party in winning polls as people see this is nothing but tokenism and symbolism.

AICC general secretaries in charge of different states cannot rejuvenate the party without credible leaders. The PCCs in most of the states are either defunct or become a secondary to the CMs or national leaders.
