Salman Khan to play lead in Karan Johar’s dream project 'Shhuddhi'

After a cameo in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, this will be the actor's second inning with KJo

Mumbai: Salman Khan and Karan Johar might not be best buddies but the changing equations of the people within the industry is an answer to this big development. Karan Johar’s Shuddhi which was without a hero for so many months has finally found the face of the film. Salman has been roped in for the film and plans are on go on floors at the earliest.

During a media interaction on Tuesday evening, talking about his upcoming films Salman Khan said, “Yes, I am doing Karan Johar's film called 'Shhuddhi' which I would probably start in a while. After 'Kick', I am going to finish shooting for Sooraj Barjatya's film. Then I have Kabir Khan's film and Boney Kapoor's 'No Entry Mei Entry' following that I also have Aditya Chopra's 'Sultan' and a film with Mahesh Manjrekar.”

This statement comes a month after Kareena Kapoor had said that the film was shelved.

As per the official announcement of the film, Hrithik and Kareena had been signed as the leading pair. The film will be directed by Karan Malhotra, who made the blockbuster, Agneepath, starring Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra.
