New Delhi: The change of guard at the Centre appears to have changed the fate of 1991-batch IAS officer Ashok Khemka, who has so far claimed that he was targeted for taking on Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra.

He is headed for Central deputation to New Delhi from his home cadre Haryana. He is currently the director-general, archives, in Haryana.

Sources informed that the Civil Services Board cleared Mr Khemka’s request for a Central posting as joint secretary. His request was accepted only after the (PMO) intervened in the matter.
