Areas including Secunderabad, Tarnaka, Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Begumpet, Himayatnagar, Khairatabad, Shaikpet, Lower Tank Bund, and Ameerpet received heavy rainfall.

Several areas in central Hyderabad were waterlogged while many low- lying areas including Mayuri Marg, MS Maktha, Nadeem Colony, Rajendranagar, Attapur, Shivajinagar, Prabhakarnagar, Imtiaznagar and others waited for the water to recede.

Overflowing drains at some places caused panic.

Power cuts were reported in some places.

Met officials  said the low pressure area now lies over East Uttar Pradesh and neighbouring areas.

Rain was also recorded  at some places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and Telangana.

Bhadrachalam and Kalingapatnam recorded the highest rainfall at 37 mm and 34 mm respectively.
