Hyderabad: The Water Board is all set to take action against major bill defaulters, whose dues amount to Rs 50,000 or more. The officials, who issued Red and Form-I notices months back, would now execute attachment of property. There are over 4,000 defaulters who have neither responded to Red notices nor to Form-I notices.

Issuing a Form-I notice allows the Board to execute property attachment of defaulters. “In all the 16 divisions, Red notices were issued to 7,650 consumers who had defaulted on their water bills. While some have paid the bill, there still are about 4,000 people who have not responded.” said Suryanarayana, director, revenue, Water Board.
