New scheme to be called FAST, says Telangana Chief Minister
We are ready to pay the fees of our students wherever they study, says CM
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao also categorically stated that this was a new scheme, named “Financial Assistance for Students of Telangana” (FAST), and not the previous fee reimbursement scheme implemented by the united AP government. “This is meant only for real Telangana students. We will see that the benefits reach the real Telangana students.”
Mr Rao also criticised Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for trying to create problems for the Telangana government on fee reimbursement issue, which has resulted in delay in the Eamcet counselling.
“On one hand, he boasts of building a new capital city like Singapore for AP by spending Rs 1.50 lakh crore. But he doesn’t have money to pay the fees of Seemandhra students. We are ready to pay the fees of our students wherever they study. In the same way, we want him to pay the fees of their students, what’s wrong in this?” Mr Rao asked.
