Aurangabad: Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar was not given ice-cream in lunch for dessert on Monday. Though surprising, but the incident has landed two engineers in the Public Works Department of the state in trouble.

A notice has been sent to them seeking an explanation over why Pawar was denied ice-cream, reported NDTV.

Pawar had halted at a state-run guest house in Aurangabad for his meal. He was enroute to Jalna, to address party workers.

Pawar supporters complained to the District Collector's office, though the Deputy CM didn’t create an issue over the non-availability of the dessert.

His supporters also demanded the suspension of the housekeeping staff over the incident.
