Students raised slogans against Chief Minister and state government

Hyderabad: Mild tension gripped the Osmania University campus on Thursday following the Telangana government’s decision to regularise contract employees. Students protested against this decision of the government at the NCC Gate.

At  around 11 am students marched towards the gate and raised slogans against Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and the Telangana government. They asked the government to withdraw its decision and burnt effigies of the CM and the government.

OU police brought the situation under control. “The protest continued for an hour, but was brought under control. There was no stoning or arrests,” said inspector A.V.R. Narsimha Rao of the OU police.
