Hungry for the ‘Start Menu’ on Windows 8.1? Get this app
Windows 8.1’s tiled interface have restrained many from using it
Windows XP is long dead and Windows 7 will soon be on the end of the line. Microsoft’s Windows 8.1 is the only operating system which you will see on all new computers you buy.
Using Windows 8.1 will take a while to get used to the new user interface. Those coming from the older Windows operating system are completely addicted to the Start Menu since it is the easiest way to get around your Windows operating system to find applications and other settings.
However, there are many software tools that allow you to tweak the new operating system into displaying the Start Menu. The information about Windows 9, the next operating system from Microsoft, sporting the Start Menu all over again had been in the news a while ago. While this may be true, you would have to wait for a long time till the operating system is on your desktop.
Till then, you can download a simple utility called Start Menu X 5.24 from Softpedia. The software is a demo / trial utility and if you are pleased with the tool, you may purchase it for $19.99 (Approx Rs 1,200).
