19 songs in James’ debut

Chennai: Music composer James Vasanthan is excited as the shoot of his first directorial venture, Vaanavil Vaazhkai, is almost over. Said to be a musical, the film has 19 songs. The director has roped in newcomers in the lead roles.

According to the composer-turned-director, all the songs have been recorded and he is pleased with the outcome. Almost 50 per cent of the film shoot is over. “The story is set in the backdrop of a college campus and it revolves around the life of students,” he says.
