All India Service staff: Telangana gets 340, 437 for Andhra Pradesh

Guidelines regarding appointments and completion are expected to happen in two weeks

Hyderabad: The Centre on Monday finally notified on the number of All India Service (AIS) officials to be allotted for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

It has sanctioned 163 IAS, 112 IPS and 65 IFS officers to Telangana while 211 IAS, 144 IPS and 82 IFS officers have been allotted to AP.

The Centre had appointed Pratyush Sinha committee for allotment of AIS officers to both the states.

The committee is yet to come out with the guidelines to be adopted for allotment.

The Centre is considering to give ‘limited options’ to Telugu IAS officers to choose the state of their choice, while for officers from other states, roster system and seniority of service will be considered as per the norms of Department of Personnel and Training.

The committee is expected to come out with guidelines soon on this issue and allotments are expected to completed within two weeks.
