Indian soldier killed at LoC

Jammu: An Army jawan was killed in an exchange of fire with a group of infiltrating militants along the Line of Control in Akhnoor sector of Jammu district on Tuesday. A group of militants infiltrated into Indian territory near Chakla forward post of Pallanwala sector of Akhnoor tehsil, police officials said.

Troops of Naga regiment challenged and fired on them, they said, adding heavy exchanges took place and an Army jawan died. Defence Spokesman M. Mehta said that search is going on.
