Beggars to be rehabilitated in Hyderabad area

Hyderabad: Gourav Sadans, shelters for beggars in the Greater Hyderabad area, will be set up by the municipal corporation. Officials have identified 239 beggars at 16 traffic junctions in the GHMC area.

The civic body will pick 100 traffic junctions where the beggar menace is more, and allot the junctions to various NGOs for rehabilitation of beggars.

An orientation programme will be held for the NGOs that are willing to participate in the rehabilitation scheme on August 1, from 3 pm to 5 pm at the GHMC head office.
