KOCHI: CBSE chairman Vineeth Joshi would take up the issue of discrimination against the CBSE students in the engineering admissions in the state with higher officials in the education department,  including the Commissioner of Entrance Examination.

“I would take it up with my counterparts here. It is not fair to discriminate against students in other streams. In fact, if one considers the future of students that would do no good to those who are thus favoured as they will realise their shortcomings at one point or the other later. Students should be treated equally,” he told DC on the sidelines of a function here. He confirmed that the Kerala CBSE Schools Management Association had taken up the matter  with him. When asked whether he would take it up with the state government, he said that in his capacity he can take it up at the official level only.
