13 year old rape victim out of danger

Kozhikode: The 13-year-old girl, who attempted suicide after being raped by her father, is now stable.

Her friend, who also had consumed rat poison along with her in their school a few days ago, is out of danger, said sources in the Medical College Hospital.

The Nallalam police are on the lookout for the friend of the girl’s father, who had also raped her. Police said they had got some clues about the 35-year-old man’s hideout.

The father and the boyfriend of the girl were arrested on Saturday. The girl, hailing from a poor family, had lost her mother at a young age and had been living with her father, grandmother and brother.
