Students are objecting to English language questions asked in CSAT II paper

New Delhi: The Centre on Sunday held a high level meeting on the contentious issue of the new civil services exam pattern, particularly the CSAT, that has triggered large scale protests from aspirants. The meeting, chaired by Union home minister Rajnath Singh, was also attended by Union finance minister Arun Jaitley, minister of state for PMO Jitendra Singh among others.

Later the home minister briefed PM Narendra Modi on the issue. Sources said that the ways to resolve the issue was discussed. Officials claimed that decision on whether or not to change the syllabus of civil services exam and postpone the preliminary test, is likely to be taken on August 24.
