Mumbai: After spreading the word that he was no longer interested in hosting Bigg Boss, Salman Khan seems to have changed his mind because he will be the show’s host when it returns to our screens for season eight.

This will dash the hopes of other stars like Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor who were being considered as Sallu’s replacements.

At the end of Season 7, Salman had made it clear that he would be moving on, because of various court cases, health issues and a backlog of shooting dates that needed his attention. But he has managed to sort stuff out and agreed to allocate dates for the show after the channel agreed to hike his fee by thirty per cent.

If sources are to be believed, his new salary package is '8.5 crore per episode! That will make him the highest paid actor in the history of television. Apart from the astronomical fee, the channel has agreed to even consider making room for the actor’s girlfriend Lulia Vantur on the show. It is to be seen in what capacity.

Moving on to the housemates, 70 per cent of casting has been done and the tentative names doing the rounds are actor Evelyn Sharma, British adult star Shanti Dynamite, actor Shiney Ahuja, Ameesha Patel and Kumar Vishwaas of the Aam Aaadmi Party.
