Mumbai: According to a survey, 40 per cent of college and higher secondary school in Goa boys watch rape porn, which statistically means that they end up watching 86,000-rape videos everyday.

The survey was conducted across 10 colleges by a Karnataka-based organisation.

The report says that 80 per cent college and higher secondary school boys watch porn and 40 per cent of them watch it regularly.

"Seventysix percent students said that watching rapes leads to the desire to actually rape someone... Rape is increasing in India, this is a primary reason," said an official from the organisation that conducted the survey.

He also said that 50 per cent of students who watch porn, end up watching violent porn.

The survey poses serious questions at a time when the country is reeling under crime against women and children-the most recent being the rape of a minor schoolgirl in Bangalore.

Facing public anger, the police arrested a skating instructor in connection with the alleged rape of a six-year-old girl at a public school, six days after the outrageous incident was brought to light.

Mobile phone and laptop recovered from the main accused in the case, Mustafa revealed that he used to watch videos of children getting raped.

On Tuesday, police arrested two gymnastics instructors from the school where the crime took place.
