Mustafa’s parents wait for his return
Mustafa, the skating teacher, was arrested in connection with minor’s rape case
Bengaluru: “This is no Eid for us. Our son is innocent. We have been pleading with the police that he is innocent and today, they have acknowledged it but our son is still behind the bars,” sobbed an uncontrollable Murtaza – father of Mustafa alias Munna, who was arrested last week on “grounds of suspicion” in the alleged child rape case in Vibgyor High School in Marathahalli and now given a clean chit by the police.
“Let my son come back home. I am not sure when he would return. We are helpless even though he is innocent,” added the forlorn father.
Mustafa’s landlord – Mohammed Ghouse, who is a resident of house number 87, Ramkrishnappa Garden,Varthur, told this newspaper that he has known Mustafa and his family for the last seven years and that he can vouch for his character. “Mustafa is a clean boy. Two people from the school had come to his house on July 16 and asked him to accompany them for a meeting. He hasn’t returned home since then. We came to know of his arrest through the media. On July 17, a policeman came and took his laptop,” said Ghouse.
Mustafa is married and has a five-year-old daughter. The family is originally from Bihar but has been living in Bengaluru for a long time now.
