Bengaluru: DCP (Crime) Abhishek Goyal, who is supervising the investigation into the rape of the six-year-old at Vibgyor High, Marathahalli, on Wednesdayt rubbished reports that the gym instructors involved claimed to have committed the crime only to teach the girl a lesson as she was abusive and spat on teachers.
“I don’t know who gave this information that the accused have confessed to something like this. I don’t want to comment on it at all. The confession reports cannot be revealed to anyone,” the officer said, when contacted.
According to reports in a section of the media, the accused, Lal Giri(21) and Waseem Pasha (28), had claimed in their confession to the police that the girl’s haughty behaviour had driven them to rape her. Reports of this alleged confession, putting a little innocent girl in the wrong, were widely condemned on Wednesday.
