Hyderabad: Lakshmi Manchu is playing an important role in Budugu, which tries to examine child psychology, when children are under pressure. Budugu is an intense, engaging family thriller written and directed by Manmohan. “The inspiration for this subject is a real incident. The film depicts some mysterious and shocking events in the life of an eight-year-old boy upsetting an otherwise normal family. The central theme is how the family copes with the unexpected twists and turns that threaten to disturb their lives,” says the film’s director Manmohan.

The shooting of the film will be completed shortly. Lakshmi Manchu and model-turned-actor Sreedhar Rao play important characters, while the protagonist, Budugu is played by Prem Babu. Director Manmohan, who has penned the story, said that he has done a lot of research on the topic and had intense discussions with child psychologists.
