Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is planning to set up a ‘Cinema City’ spread over 2,000 acre in Hyderabad with an aim of giving a fillip to the film industry besides giving job opportunities to locals.
Mr Rao disclosed his plans at a review meeting with officials of the industries department at the Secretariat on Thursday.
“Hyderabad is already the destination for film shootings across the country. Many film and TV shootings are being done here. We want to further improve infrastructure for development of film and TV industries. A new Cinema City is being planned on 2,000 acres,” Mr Rao said.
