Hyderabad: Floodwater released from the Jurala Dam on Wednesday night inundated the Lower Jurala Hydel Power Station units under construction, leading to heavy damage to machinery and severely affecting power generation in three units, which were supposed to be operationalised from August 3.

Telangana State Power Generation Corporation (TSGenco) chairman-cum-managing director Devulapally Prabhakara Rao who visited the spot on Thursday said that it would take a minimum of three months to take up repairs and commission the units for power generation.
